Frequently Asked Questions
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, with the exception of the security deposit. However, the images will not be delivered until final payment is made. You can also split the cost between various cards if that makes it easier.
Can I split the photo session with a friend?
Yes. Limit is up to a total of 3 persons. All must be present at the time of shoot, even if it isn’t their turn for photos. The time starts at our agreed upon time.
What is high-end retouch?
This is commonly known as the airbrushed look. In addition I will cleanup unwanted flyaways or excess skin. Garments will be refined (smoothed) to give a more tailored ‘look’. Otherwise you can expect a light edit to be applied to all of the photos in your gallery. Minor skin blemishes will be removed but at my discretion. In your high-end selection you can choose to refine if you want more editing.
Will all of my photos not be edited?
All of your photos that are selected for your gallery will be presented to you in a light edit. Minor distractions will be removed. For a more detailed edit you can select use your high-end selection.
Can I buy more digital photos?
Yes you can for $25 each. In your gallery you can make that transaction or let me know before you start downloading your photos and I can bill you directly.
Can I get more high-end retouch selections?
Yes you can for an additional $20 per selection.
I like your style but I don’t want my photos with strobes/flash is that possible?
Of course! In the planning phase we will discuss your desired look for your photos. If it’s a medical condition, please make sure to tell me that it’s for medical reasons.
I want my photos during my final prep before the show will you come to my hotel room?
Yes I can do that. The parking fee will be added to the final total. FYI, I will get the nearest parking to limit my travel time from bringing in my gear which some times comes at a premium.
I want my photo shoot to be in different locations how does this work?
During our consultation I will determine if your shoot can be executed in 1 location. Otherwise, yes I can accommodate this request but travel time is still considered shoot time once we’ve begun taking photos.
I want to use my personal gym is that okay?
I will need to do a video chat consult to assess if this option is viable. Depending on location I can do a walk-through with you. What am I looking for? Angles that will create dynamic imagery. Available space for my equipment. I can make a minimalist approach but keep in mind the less I can fit the more it’ll impact your imagery. I will absolutley do my best because I still want you to have fantastic photos and I want to showcase them in my portfolio.
Can you take my photos at my gym?
If your gym is franchised such as 24 Hour Fitness, LA Fitness, Crunch Fitness, etc. more than likely the answer is no. However, most gyms do not allow photo shoots to be conducted at their facility without written permission. If you can get the written permission by all means I’ll photograph you at your gym. Private gyms tend to be more flexiable on this but still require consent. Please make sure you have established this prior to booking your photo shoot.
Do you provide a MUA (Make Up Artist) ?
No. Although it is highly encourgaed for you to seek one out for your photo shoot. The MUA know how to create very flattering looks with special blends and brushes to get you runway ready. Also, some will even go as far as doing a trial consultation to make sure you don’t have any allergic reactions. If finding a MUA adds to your plate, Sephora offers this service as a does Ulta .
Can I bring someone with me to my photo shoot?
Absolutley yes. Just to be up front, I might put them to work too.
Can I video record for my own content?
Yes. Just keep in mind I might ask you to move your camera if it is in the way of my shot or stands. Also, if I am in the video can I get a copy. Pweety-please?
Is hair removal necessary for my entire body even though I’ll be mostly covered?
Nope, not at all. For my dudes, facial hair I suggest that you keep the facial hair you want. Just make it look freshly groomed. If you want to keep your chest hair that’s fine I just ask that the length is no greater than ¼ inch. You can always use a beard trimmer to hedge that sweater-vest. For my dudettes, yes you only need to remove from areas that you know will be shown based on your outfits/looks.
Can I use these photos for a brand collaboration?
Only yes if the third party agrees to my terms and fees. If you want more specifics I can send those to you directly for review. I have more legal jargon that is laid out in an agreement form.
Can I use the photos for my website and social media?
Yes you may but I require photo credit laid out in captions. This will be detailed in your agreement form.
I’m not that lean yet, can you photoshop abs on my body?
No. Go earn them. I will remove blemishes/scars in your high end retouch but I will not add muscle that is not visible during our shoot.
What is Video B-roll?
B-roll is a several clips of video strung together to make 1 short film.
Can I get the ‘RAW’ videos too?
No. I need quality control and to make sure what is seen out there, meets my standards in quality.
I want music added to my video can you do that?
Yes I can but that will require a liscensing fee depending on type of music. If you’re posting to social media such as Instagram/TikTok/Facebook, it’s actually better that you use the content in their library so that your video will have another type of searchable content filter.
Do you add special fx to your videos?
No. If you want movie quality content, search for a cinematographer.
